There a lot of sonic territory to explore with the Roland System-500 521 dual VCF module for Eurorack. Based on the classic System-100M modular synth the System-500 521 offers two great-sounding low pass filter swith resonance that can reach self-oscillation. 

 

What has the synth gurus so interested are the fixed high pass filters after the LPF section: engage these to tighten up soundsor to achieve cool band pass effects by modulating the LPF frequency before the high pass filter. Three audio inputs for each filter and three CV control inputs offer ample creative potential for patching the Roland System-500 521 dual VCF module with the rest of your modular rig.
