There is arguably no electric guitar more ingrained in modern culture than the Fender Stratocaster. Its contoured body, innovative tremolo bridge, and sparkling trio of single-coil pickups combine in an instrument that has been embraced by players of all genres since it appeared in the 1950s. The most remarkable thing about the Strat is perhaps its versatility. In Eric Clapton's hands, it's a blues machine, Yngwie Malmsteen makes it a fire-breathing monster, and Radiohead's Ed O'Brien extracts altogether new sounds from his.

 

The signature EOB Ed O'Brien Stratocaster boasts the familiar alder and maple Strat platform and comfortable V shaped neck, but branches out with a creative electronics package designed by Ed. Each pickup position is occupied by a wildly different pickup, producing sounds unlike most other guitars. The neck Sustainer Driver pickup has two mini toggles for switching between on/off and fundamental, harmonic, and blend voices. In the middle is a tried-and-true Texas Special single-coil, while the bridge carries the higher-output crunch of a Seymour Duncan JB Jr. humbucker.
