The A231 sports convenient integrated hardware to make recording easier than ever, with an integrated vibration-reducing shockmount that eliminates the need for bulky external shockmounts, and a built-in acoustic foam filter and steel alloy grille for avoiding plosives and sibilance. The extremely low-noise preamp circuitry produces clean signals, and an active driven shielding helps to protect the preamp-to-capsule connection from obtrusions like capacitive coupling. The microphone includes a zippered carrying case for safe transport to and from recording locations, and the included snap-on mic clip makes the A231 easy to mount on any 5/8" or 3/8" stand or boom.
