  • Fender Artist Eric Clapton Stratocaster Guitar, Maple Fretboard with Deluxe Hardshell Case - Black

There's no bigger name in the entire guitar world than Eric Clapton! The man is a legend with a career that spans over 40 years! So, as you can imagine, this is one musician that can play any instrument he chooses - and he chooses the Fender Eric Clapton Artist Series Strat. That's right, the same guitar you can own (though his comes with a custom paint job these days).   First introduced in the 1980s, today's Eric Clapton Strat has been updated with three Vintage Noiseless pickups, which work in conjunction with both a powerful active midrange boost and Fender TBX tone circuitry to create on of the most versatile guitars in the Fender catalog.   You might think that a famous guitarist like Eric Clapton would pick some amazingly figured maple and ash, but in truth, other than the custom paint jobs, this is Eric's guitar. And once you play it, you'll see why he never asked for anything more. You start with a lightweight alder body with a black polyurethane finish and single-ply white pickguard (the same as Clapton's famed Blackie guitar). Thanks to the active 25dB midrange boost and TBX circuitry, you can go from crystal clear tone to a full-throated growl with the simple spin of a knob. Combine that with three of the latest versions of fender's Vintage Noiseless pickups and Eric's personal choice of a blocked American vintage synchronized tremolo, and you have the makings of a truly soulful instrument that sounds as great in the studio as it does onstage!   The original Strat had three single-coil pickups, so it was able to produce sounds that no other guitar could deliver - particularly once players discovered they could lodge the 3-position blade switch in those in between positions to access different pickup combinations. These were often erroneously referred to as the out-of-phase settings.   The Eric Clapton Strat comes standard with a modern 5-way blade switch, making it easy to access all the pickup combinations. But then it adds a special active 25dB midrange boost on one tone control to give this guitar the extra meat you might expect from a humbucker. In addition, the second tone knob functions as a standard Fender TBX master tone control, which can smoothly go from bright and glossy to dark and smoky by rolling off the highs!   SPECIFICATIONS Black color with polyurethane finish Maple neck with soft V shape and 9.5" radius Solid alder body Fender/Gotoh vintage-style tuners Maple fingerboard 22 frets Dot inlays 3 Vintage Noiseless Strat pickups Blocked vintage-style synchronized tremolo 5-position blade for pickup switching Chrome hardware Vintage Tweed case included 25.5" scale length

  • Fender Artist Eric Johnson SSS Stratocaster Guitar, Rosewood Fretboard with Deluxe Hardshell Case -Lucerne Aqua Firemist

The Fender Artist Series Eric Johnson Stratocaster is an American made Strat built to Eric Johnson's exacting standards. With its a light two-piece alder body with deep '57-style body contours and cavities, it differs from modern Strats with vintage hardware, a chunkier maple neck for increased sustain, a thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish, specially voiced pickups unique to the Eric Johnson Strat, (they are even voiced differently on rosewood and maple fretboard versions to allow for the brighter sound of maple) and a '57 style parchment pickguard. All of which gives this guitar the look, feel and tone that match up to the very high standards of the man himself!   The development of the Stratocaster also saw the inclusion of single-coil alnico 3 pickups with staggered-height pole pieces that effectively addressed the varying output of the heavy string gauges in use at the time, and a slanting output jack mounted on the face of the guitar rather than the side. The guitar’s distinctively shaped headstock—more fully curvaceous than that of the Telecaster and Precision Bass—was undoubtedly influenced by instruments built by Paul Bigsby and, like the Telecaster and Precision Bass before it, had all the tuners within easy reach on one side. And a notably elegant touch in Fender’s first use of a sunburst finish, which was included at Randall’s insistence to give the guitar a more high-end look.   The Stratocaster’s greatest innovation, however, was its bridge. In response to player feedback on the Telecaster, Randall wanted the new guitar to have some kind of vibrato system. Leo immersed himself in the task with his customary focus.   And yet the initial design for the Stratocaster’s vibrato bridge was a pronounced failure. Leo and guitarist/advisor Bill Carson apparently thought prototype units sounded fine at the factory, but Leo’s right-hand man in the factory, George Fullerton, said they “sounded terrible.” Leo invested a great deal of time and money into trying to perfect the system well into 1953 before scrapping the entire design and starting over.   SPECIFICATIONS Body Shape    Stratocaster Body Material    Alder Body Colour    Lucerne Aqua Mist Body Finish    Nitrocellulose Lacquer Fretboard Material    Rosewood Fretboard Radius    12" (305 mm) Scale Length    25.5" (648 mm) No. of Frets    21 Fretboard Inlays    Black Dot Pickup(s)    Specially Voiced Eric Johnson Single-Coils with Countersunk Mounting Screws Bridge    6-Saddle American Vintage Synchronized Tremolo Pickguard    1-Ply Parchment Strings    Fender® USA 250R Nickel Plated Steel (.010-.046 Gauges), PN 0730250406 Tuning Machines    Vintage-Style Staggered Hardware Finish    Nickel/Chrome Case    Deluxe Blonde Hardshell with Black Ends (Black Interior)

Leo immersed himself in the task with his customary focus.   And yet the initial design for the Stratocaster’s vibrato bridge was a pronounced failure. • Fender Artist Jeff Beck Stratocaster Guitar, RW FB, Olympic White, w/Case

You might think that a famous guitarist like Jeff Beck would pick some amazingly figured maple and ash, but in truth, Jeff prefers to stay with a fairly basic Strat design. Once you play it, you'll see why he never really asked for anything more (though Fender did build him a custom "one-off" with a special paint job that honors Jeff's love of hot rods). You start with a lightweight alder body with a Olympic White polyurethane finish and three-ply white pickguard and three hot, dual-coil ceramic Noiseless pickups. If you've heard Jeff play, you know he really works the tremolo unit hard, so this Artist Series instrument comes with a modern American two-point synchronized tremolo for outstanding tuning stability. Bend notes or entire chords up or down and the guitar stays in tune!   The original Strat had three single coil pickups, so it was able to produce sounds that no other guitar could deliver, particularly once players discovered they could lodge the three-position blade switch in those "in-between" positions to access neck / middle and bridge / middle pickup combinations. These were often erroneously referred to as the "out-of-phase" settings. The Jeff Beck Strat comes standard with a modern five-way blade switch, making it easy to access all the pickup combinations. Three dual-coil ceramic Noiseless pickups deliver a searing Strat sound, but otherwise there are no special tone circuits since Jeff's fingers produce the outrageously diverse range of timbres, from crystal clear to smoking hot. And remember, Jeff believes that "guitar picks are for sissies." It's certainly hard to argue when you hear him play.   SPECIFICATIONS Color: Olympic White. Body Type:Solidbody electric. Finish:Polyurethane Neck Wood:Maple. Neck Shape:Special "C" shape with 9.5-inch radius. Body Wood:Solid alder. Machine Heads:Fender / Schaller deluxe cast / sealed locking tuners. • Fender Artist Eric Johnson SSS Stratocaster Guitar, Maple Fretboard with Deluxe Hardshell Case - Black

With an elegant single-cutaway silhouette, adjustable 3-saddle bridge and a lone, repurposed lap-steel pickup in the bridge position – the Esquire laid the groundwork for all solid-body electric guitars to follow and foreshadowed its more famous sibling, the Telecaster.   Like the earliest Esquire models, the 70th Anniversary Esquire features a pine body – a lightweight wood known for punchy and complex tone – and upgrades it with our roasting treatment, greatly improving the resonance of the body. Other features include a lacquer finish, thick “U”-shaped neck, Tim Shaw-designed Esquire bridge pickup – inspired by an original ’50 Esquire from Songbirds Museum in Chattanooga, TN - special anniversary neck plate and tweed case.   Production of the 70th Anniversary Esquire will be limited to 2020 only.   FEATURES Roasted Pine body One-piece maple neck with 7.25” radius fingerboard and 21 vintage-tall frets Tim Shaw Designed Esquire bridge pickup Esquire Tone Circuit Custom neck-plate    SPECIFICATIONS Body Shape: Telecaster® Body Material: Roasted Pine Body Finish: Gloss Nitrocellulose  Neck Profile: ’50 Broadcaster “U” Fretboard Material: Maple Fretboard Radius: 7.25” (184.1 mm) Scale Length: 25.5” (648 mm) No. of Frets: 21 Vintage Tall Frets Fretboard Inlays: Black Dot Pickup: Tim Shaw Designed Esquire Bridge Pickup Bridge: 3-Saddle American Vintage Strings-Through-Body Tele® with Solid Barrel Steel Saddles Pickguard: 1-Ply Black Phenolic Strings: Fender® USA 250R Nickel-Plated Steel (.010-.046 Gauges), PN 0730250406 Tuning Machines: Vintage-Style Hardware Finish: Nickel/Chrome

  • Fender Vintera 50s Telecaster Modified Electric Guitar, Maple Fretboard with Gig Bag - Daphne Blue

For players who appreciate the mojo of the past matched to modern features, Fender created the Vintera ‘50s Telecaster Modified. Blending classic looks with a modern neck profile and fingerboard radius, hotter pickups and updated electronics—this guitar packs a surprising amount of power under the hood.   For modern Fender tone they included a pair of Custom Shop pickups, kicking things up a bit with a vintage-style bridge pickup and fat-sounding Twisted Tele neck pickup. Twangy and articulate, they have the crisp, snarling sound that put Fender on the musical map.    For modern playing feel, we added 21 medium-jumbo frets to the 9.5”-radius maple fingerboard that sits atop the “Thick Soft V”-shaped neck. A vintage-style Tele® bridge with three brass saddles gives this Telecaster it’s characteristic twang, while 4-way switching and the S-1™ switch give you even more tonal variety.    Series wiring makes this Tele sound fat, like a humbucking pickup, while the S-1 switch places the pickups out of phase with each other for a cool “strangled” tone. Other features include vintage-style strap buttons, chrome hardware and 4-bolt neck plate. Includes deluxe gig bag.   SPECIFICATIONS Body Shape: Telecaster® Body Colour: Daphne Blue Body Material: Alder Body Finish: Gloss Polyester Fretboard Material: Maple Fretboard Radius: 9.5" (241 mm) Scale Length: 25.5" (648 mm) No. of Frets: 21 Fretboard Inlays: Black Dot Pickups: Custom Shop "Twisted" Single-Coil Tele® (Neck), Custom Shop Vintage-Style Single-Coil Tele® (Bridge) Bridge: 3-Saddle Vintage-Style Strings-Through-Body Tele® with Chrome Barrel Saddles Pickguard: 1-Ply Black Strings: Fender® USA 250L Nickel Plated Steel (.009-.042 Gauges) Tuning Machines: Vintage-Style Hardware Finish: Nickel/Chrome Case: Gig Bag
